Outer length is the full length of the sole, measured outside the shoe.

Place a sheet of paper on the floor against a wall. Stand on the paper with your heel against the wall.

Mark the longest part of your foot (usually the big toe) on the paper with a pen.

3. Measure
Measure the distance from the edge of the paper (heel) to the mark you made in centimetres. Measure both feet and use the longer one.
