Returns, Refunds & Exchange Policy

Compliant with Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

1. Overview & Return Window

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, in its original packaging, accompanied by your receipt or proof of purchase. You are welcome to try on or wear the product during this 30-day period, provided the item is returned in the same condition it was received and no damage has occurred.

To start a return, please contact us at support@drarchs.com. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted. For any return questions, contact us at support@drarchs.com.

Please keep your proof of purchase (e.g. your receipt or order confirmation email) this is required for all return, exchange, and refund requests.

2. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Major Failures — Your Right to a Refund or Replacement

You can choose a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem. A major problem is when the item:

       Has a problem that would have stopped you from buying it had you known about it;

       Is unsafe;

       Is significantly different from the sample or description; or

       Does not do what we said it would, or what you asked for, and cannot be easily fixed.

In these cases, we will cover all return postage costs and issue the remedy of your choice (refund to original payment method or replacement) at no cost to you.

3. Damages, Defects & Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item. In these cases, we will cover all return postage costs and issue a full refund to your original payment method or send a replacement at no cost to you.

4. Change of Mind Returns

While Australian Consumer Law does not require retailers to offer change of mind returns, we are happy to accept them subject to the following conditions:

       The item must be returned within 30 days of receipt.

       The item must be in its original, unworn condition with all original packaging and tags attached.

       The customer is responsible for all return postage costs.

       Change of mind returns are eligible for an online store credit valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

       Full-price items returned as a change of mind may also be eligible for a refund to the original payment method — see Section 5 (Refunds) for details.

       Items purchased on sale or during a promotional period are only eligible for an online store credit — no refund will be issued.

Important note regarding sizing: Items that do not fit or were purchased in an incorrect size are considered change of mind purchases, as the item itself does not exhibit a manufacturing fault and there is no issue with the garment. We recommend all customers review our returns policy at https://drarchs.com/policies/refund-policy before purchasing to ensure they are aware of their entitlements in the event of a return.

If you're returning a product due to a change of mind and it does not meet the ACL criteria for a major or minor failure, the item will be sent back to the sender at the address on file from the original purchase order if no return address is provided. Dr Archs cannot be held liable for any loss or delay in return-to-sender parcels.

5. Refunds

Full Refunds to Your Original Payment Method

A full refund to your original payment method is available in the following circumstances:

       The item is faulty, defective, or unsafe (major or minor failure under ACL);

       An incorrect item was sent in error; or

       A full-price item is returned within 30 days in original condition as a change of mind return.

Store Credit

An online store credit (valid for 3 years from the date of issue) will be issued for:

       Eligible change of mind returns on sale or promotional items;

       Eligible returns where a refund to the original payment method is not applicable.

Processing Timeframes

Once we have received and inspected your return, we will notify you of the outcome. If approved, refunds to your original payment method will be processed within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or card provider to post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved, please contact us at support@drarchs.com.

6. Exchanges

We offer exchanges on eligible items for a different size, colour, or style. Please note the following:

       Exchanges are subject to online availability at the time your return is processed. We cannot pre-order or hold stock.

       If the requested item or size is not available at the time of processing, you will receive a refund or store credit depending on whether the original item was purchased at full price or on sale.

       The value of an exchange item is determined by the online price listed at the time your exchange is processed. We cannot apply discounts from past sales or promotions.

       If you are exchanging for a completely different item, the value of the new item is based on the current online price at the time of processing.

       When returning shoes, shoe boxes must be returned intact.

       Free exchanges are offered on eligible items. Return postage for change of mind exchanges is at the customer's expense.

If you have received the wrong size due to our error (i.e. the item sent did not match your order), an exchange for the correct size will be arranged as the first course of action at no cost to you. A refund will only be issued if the correct size is no longer available.

7. Afterpay & Zip Pay

If you paid using Afterpay or Zip Pay, the following conditions apply in addition to the standard return and refund policy above:

       Full-price items purchased via Afterpay or Zip Pay can be returned for an online store credit (valid for 3 years) or a refund to the original payment method if eligible under Section 5.

       Afterpay and Zip Pay purchases cannot be exchanged.

       Items purchased on sale or during a promotional period via Afterpay or Zip Pay are only eligible for an online store credit — no refund will be issued.

       To return a purchase made via Afterpay or Zip Pay, complete the online returns process as per the standard returns policy above.

       If eligible for a refund, your initial payment will be returned in full and any remaining scheduled payments will be cancelled at no charge.

       When you link your Afterpay or Zip Pay account to a debit or credit card, please be aware that standard card fees and charges from your card issuer may be applicable. Please refer to your card issuer's terms and conditions for full details.

 

8. Final Sale & Non-Returnable Items

Certain items cannot be returned unless they have a major failure under the ACL. These include:

       Items clearly marked as 'Final Sale' or 'Non-Returnable' on the product page and at checkout;

       Perishable goods (e.g. food, flowers, plants);

       Custom or personalised products;

       Personal care goods (e.g. beauty products); and

       Gift cards.

All Final Sale / Non-Returnable products will be clearly marked on the product page and at checkout before you complete your purchase. These exclusions do not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law. If you have questions about a specific item, please contact us before purchasing.
